​Living with ADHD can be challenging when on your own.  Being in a relationship adds another layer of complexity.

 

Many times, people just don't understand ADHD and think that their partner is simply not trying hard enough.  Despite their best intentions to organize their ADHD spouse, neuro-typical partners end up making their partner with ADHD feel like they are the problem in the relationship. Accused of being careless or lazy, the spouse living with ADHD often shuts down or avoids confrontation. On the flip side, the frustrated neuro-typical partner increasingly feels like s/he is the only adult in the relationship.

This coaching group is meant to educate BOTH partners about ADHD and how it shows up in your relationship.  Being able to distinguish what is an ADHD behavior versus your partner's personality traits can really help your couple shift from conflict to comprehension.

Learning about ADHD will allow you to apply effective strategies to make it easier to function as a couple, and move to cooperation and collaboration.  We will help you understand executive functions, improve communication, manage emotions and implement organization.

 

 We will walk you through a framework that covers those Hot-Buttons issues in your relationship and how to resolve them. It will allow you to take a step back and work with your partner from a different perspective. You will have the opportunity to start your couple's relationship user manual.
